Like Millsap, I think Al's a bit tired out there. I think both Paul and Al should be getting right around 30 minutes per, or even less when Kanter and Favors are playing well (like tonight).
Al's PnR D and transition D will always be bad (the Harris-Al combo on PnRs is otherworldly), but he was making a concerted effort earlier in the year to play help D, sliding over to draw charges. His man D is fine too, when he has the energy. It's gotta be hard as hell to be surrounded by such god awful perimeter players.
Yeah, you're probably onto something there. The other team constantly runs high picknrolls and so Al and Paul are both workiing overtime on defense because other teams want to exploit that weakness.
