Don't see why we couldn't have both. I do want Engeland more though. His track record of turning non shooters into shooters is impressive.

Would be a real coup if Kerr could get Blatt AND Engelland on his staff.

Would be an even bigger coup if Quin Snyder could get the both of them onto his staff. I'm sure that Snyder and Blatt are familiar with each other from their time as competitors, and the Jazz have already expressed and interest in Engelland. Blatt, Jones, Jensen and Engelland. That's a hell of a staff for a first year coach. If I'm the Millers, I tell DL to do whatever he needs to get this done. It's well worth the investment.

Even though it would only be for a year or two, getting Blatt would be amazing. The guy is both a tactical and motivational genius. He's able to do more with less. The fact that he's dominated this year like he has is amazing. He'd be such a great hire. I want both. And if I owned or ran the team, I'd be willing to pay a premium to get them. I just imagine what our young players could pick up from guys like Blatt and Engelland. Invaluable.

Blatt held a press confernce in Israel yesterday, announcing indefinetly he will coach in the NBA next year. I will try to translate some of it and post later. It is all over the news here.

Pops may or may not step down after this season. More likely is that he'll coach one more year with Messina as an assistant, then Ettore takes over the team in 2015-16.
