I'm not a huge hockey guy, but I respect the **** out of Gretzky. Huge fan of what he was able to do with the Kings.

I find basketball more fun to follow, but going to an Oilers hockey game (consistent sell-outs)-- particularly when the stadium was hitting like 120dB in the playoffs a few years ago, is an awesome experience. Every sport has something different to offer-- if you're smart, you'll set aside time to try and see what others like the sport for. I love watching basketball, soccer, and hockey-- and I enjoy (to a lesser degree) watching rugby, American Football, and baseball.

I grew up with baseball. I was on the league all star team every year when I was a kid. Baseball is boring. It just is.

I have only two reasons I am not taking up for my dear friend Dalamon in this thread;

1) This is his earned karma for all the Cal/Cal stuff.
2) Hockey sucks.

Didn't read the whole thread because Hockey is not one of the top 5 sports anywhere.
Canada doesn't count because they don't have more than 5 sports because curling doesn't count.

NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball, MLS, WNBA, Womens Soccer, Lacrosse, and then NHL.
It is possible that the NHL could be bumped up between the WNBA and Womens Soccer but I don't care enough to find out.
Could we get someone's wife/girlfriend or Dalamon to tell us? TIA

FWIW, I've met one BYU student. He said some of the corniest things I'd ever heard.
