is Brandon Knight the answer?

Do NOT waste a top 5 pick on a PG. It is proven every year you can win a ring without a top flight PG. Build around another position, IMO.

I found this article quite interesting and i wanted to share, it basically says brandon knight can be the next franchise player for utah or the catalyst to make the team better

In my opinion he has much better potential than kemba walker and he isnt undersized like him so definitely the second best guard in the draft

Its likely we will get a 6-7 th pick if we cant win the lottery, and there will be no irving left till then. So do u think, Brandon Knight worths our first pick? or we should get another guy and hope to get him at the second pick?

If the do draft Knight with the first draft (which I am quite excited about), then I don't think we'll be getting another PG in Jimmer with their second pick (which I am sad about)... *sigh*

Overall I'd rather build around Knight than Jimmer though.. can't pass on an athletic PG in the mold of Westbrook, Wall, Rose,..

Knight is a good player. But he isn't a comparable athlete to freak athletes like Westbrook, Wall and Rose. He is a big guard that uses his size and what athletic ability he does have well. But at its core his game is built on his jumper.

Think about it, when was the last time Knight blew past somebody and finished at the rim?

All that said he may be the BPA at 6th pick if several players don't come out.

if you have kobe, gasol or pierce, allen, garnett, or wade, bosh ,lebron u can. But its obvious we dont

If there's a Deron Williams or Chris Paul caliber PG there, I'd take him early - but Brandon Knight isn't on that level. Pass.

I have him about an equal with Barnes. Love his three point shot, which is only 1.4% worse than the Jimmer. He is 18 so has a lot more potential than any PG not named Irving.

I love his handle, his mobility--the ability to go anywhere he wants, the ability to pull up and hit from anywhere in mid-range, the ability to pass, the ability to lead a team. He could add a whole new dimension to the Jazz and really stir the pot.

A PG for this team would just end up being Monta Ellis or Jennings as long as we have no shooters.

Without shooters, Millsap, Jefferson, and Favors cannot post up.
Without shooters, all of our curl routes are futile.
Without shooters, we cannot keep up with all the 3 point gunning teams.
Without shooters, our offense looks like crap.
Without shooters, it quite honestly doesn't matter who plays PG for us.

We need to draft SFs/SGs... Preferably ones that can put the ball in the hoop from long range.

Yes, we're missing Duron right now. But we're missing the shooting of Korver, Matthews, and Memo a hell of a lot more.

Besides, didn't we learn the last time that a bigtime PG more often than not can't get the job done? I mean, just look, CP3, Duron, Kidd, Nash, etc aren't anything without shooters.

Here's the problem with Knight. If he came into the draft out of high school, he'd be lucky to go late first. If he went to Kentucky last year, he'd be Eric Bledsoe. In this draft, he's top 5. I like stuff about him. He's got good size, good (not Westbrook) speed, and there is reason to believe he could mature into a really good PG. But he's just not the caliber of guy you would ever normally draft Top 5.

Oddly enough, Gatorade has a great history in this. I would almost be tempted to jump on board.
