Is Dwill the smartest of the Elite Players?

I was expecting at least one "if he was and elite player" comment. Great job, everyone.

And yes, from everything we've seen, Deron is the only player that's really known what was up and how he could make the best of his own situation. If basketball comes back this year, he will have a running start on game shape and feel for the game considering how abbreviated training camp is and that there might not even be a pre-season.

Good for him.

To be fair, I think a lot of the other elite players are content just sitting at home, resting, and playing in charity games.

He was also one of the first players pushing for decertification from the get go and knew this whole thing was never going to get settled. Yes, I can safely say Dwill is one of the smarter players.
This is assuming that pushing for decertification was superior than pushing for an agreement that would allow them to start earning money again.

DW overseas is making up for about 1/3 of that salary, but if he had the sense and the cojones to argue against the irrational superstars and the fee-hungry lawyers on his own side, then I would've been impressed.

I read this. Then I read it again. Then I looked at your user name. Then I gasped. I had no idea you could write such a short, concise reply.

Has he received any oversea's sponsorships? To me this is where he could make up a good chunk of money, get international exposure, and let his family experience living in another country

This topic warranted no reason to remind my gentle readers how deceptively damaging Sloan's leadership was;). [<--Post length: 16 words. Now 20. I mean 22. Now 25 ...]

He was right about LeBron and stuck to his guns while the whole world laughed at him. Well, they still are, but anyways I give him some cred for that.

Deron's playing the game he loves, getting paid for it, has his family with him to explore a new country and culture, and good advice from Memo on where to go and what to do in his spare time. I'm sure he's having a WHOLE LOT more fun right now than other NBAers from last season.
So YEAH, he was a whole lot smarter...
