His chances keep getting better and better. Davis just suffered a severe ankle sprain and he looks to be out of the running. If he does make the team, that could be the best thing for the Jazz going forward.

The pieces in front of him seem to be falling (Dwight, Bosh, and now Davis).
That would be amazing. It would sure be nice if Favors got good enough that he'd eventually just get a max extension and we don't have to worry about matching another team's offer sheet.

It would be fun to watch Favors over the summer. Team USA needs someone from Utah on the team. That's just how it is.

Here's how I see it possibly playing out:
PG's: CP3, Westbrook, DWill
Wings: Durant, Lebron, Kobe, Melo
PF: Love, Griffin
C: Chandler, (Favors?)
That'll leave one spot open for probably another wing (E. Gordon, Gay, Iggy, Harden?)
As far as Favors going; you have to think they'll take another big, so my guess is it would be between him and Cousins.

Favors will be competing against Cousins, Monroe and McGee for that last spot. He has a good chance but he needs to show that he deserves it.

I'm not sure how it works, but can they still add players not on the Finalist's roster or Select Team roster? Because currently Monroe and McGee aren't on the Select Team.

They certainly could add someone not currently on the Select Team to the final Olympic team, but I don't think it's likely. I know McGee has been working on becoming a naturalized Filipino, so he's definitely out. I do think Monroe could be added to the mix because if Favors or Cousins got promoted to the Olympic team the select team would need another big. My ranking of the three would be 1. Favors 2. Cousins 3. Monroe

The thing is, there aren't many other options, which is why Favors has a chance in the first place. The only players 6'10 or taller on the Select Team are Favors and Cousins. Greg Monroe isn't on the Select Team but could be added with Davis going down. Anyone else that would have been invited is out with injuries. I think Favors wingspan and defense make him the best option out of him, Monroe, and Cousins.
