Is Georges Niang Good at Defense Now?

Definitely Bogey
I would love Bogey at his current price if Utah was better/bigger/more athletic defensively. I just think it's not ideal to have him/Joe/Niang/runts(Conley/Mitch)/Clarkson on the floor together, could possibly be the reason the Jazz don't win the chip, but I'm still optimistic.

I'd prefer Niang to Bojan, honestly. Niang is actually disruptive defensively and gives great effort all the time, athleticism be da$ned. Bojan is the second coming of a more unathletic Boozer on defense and has a no rebound gene to go along with it. Has made huge plays down the stretch a few times; Milwaukee and houston come to mind. But it would be sad to keep Bojan and his contract and lose Niang. Everyone can't stay. TOO much money committed, and buyouts arent' clamoring to come here and that's not likely to change.

 ok

Yes and no. It's the Rudy Gobert effect at its best. Players don't really have to play any serious perimeter D on this team under most circumstances because Rudy will meet their opponents at the rim. Put him on another team I'm sure he will get exposed more. But for us, he's done just about enough to stay on the floor. Same thing can't be said about a lot of our better players who could become frustrating to watch at times.
