On one hand its true that hayward is good at many things but not great at a specific side of the game. He isnt a great athlete like wade, shooter like korver, defender like artest, or whatever u can think of. But i think its better to be good at many things and not have a weakness imo. And this kid has a really great basketball iq that makes him different than most of the other players.

My only hesitation is whether he will be able to respond to the future responsibilities and be a superstar or will be a very good all around player but not jump to the next level. I wonder how everyone see his future in jazz, as the next hornacek or better?

I have hopes he will become a great 3 point shooter like Kover, but his release is very slow at this point in time. He has a chance to be a great passer, if the last game is any indication. Has to learn to not get up in the air with no place to go with the pass. Don't know if he will ever be a lock down defender, but he is already better than average. One thing he has that is great now, in my opinion, is a great motor. He simply does not take time off on the court.

I doubt he will ever become a superstar (although that would be awesome), I even doubt the kid gets as good as Ginobili, but who knows? I'm not going to start making bold statements after two good games though. Wait till NBA teams scout that he indeed has the ability to beat you off the dribble and what not. I think a lot of players in the NBA are surprised by his athletic ability as of right now.

These articles are so worthless.

Because of his height spurt in his late teens, Hayward is pretty unique in that he is very young but in a sense he is a late bloomer. It's impossible to gauge at this point what he is going to do with the tools he has.

Trolling: you're doin it wrong. You're supposed to s*** up threads, not make threads that s*** up the forums.

We don't know enough about Hayward to decide what he is/isn't a master of, but I'll tell you this, he can be a master of any of those listed if he puts work into it. Being a "jack of all trades" is something you learn over time, and this is his rookie campaign.

Hayward = Mario from Super Mario 2, good at everything.

Luigi was a great jumper, but a little too weak = Evans?

Toad was strong, but too short and not a good jumper = Millsap?

And Princess could fly, but was a fragile wuss = AK all the way!

but his release is very slow at this point in time

I think Horny is going to help Hayward with his slow release. His slow release was one of the reasons he lacked confidence early in the season. You can be the greatest shooter in the world, but if you have a slow release, your going to have problems pulling up in traffic, and getting your shot off when covered heavily. I think it's funny people are critical of a player that tries to be an all around player instead of a specialists. The NBA is full of specialists who can do one thing well.

He's a 21-year old rookie still developing his game. Too early to label the type of player he is because - as we've seen already - his level of play is constantly changing in the span of a couple months.
