Is Hayward Respected More Now By Opposing Players?

The smallest person can stand up to the biggest person in the NBA and look tough because both players know that neither player will do anything if they are mentally sane or care about their team. The only way to truly be tough is to play through contact and not complain. The standing up and acting like you are going to fight is just fake tough. You definitely don't want your star getting into any fights were he might do something that will get him suspended.

To mention West is and always has been mentally unstable. We don't need our top player feeling like he needs to stand up to every idiot thug in the NBA we need him focused on basketball and winning games

There are a lot of examples of standing up for yourself without being ejected. Getting a tech or giving up free throws I think are a small price to pay especially in the 2nd quarter of a non playoff game.

What Hayward should have done is thrown a few shadow punches and then ducked behind his coaches or other players like JLIII did.

Yeah. To me simply walking away shows so much more toughness and mental strength than a silly act like this.

there's something to be said for what tonstermits is saying here. and cy too. personally, i honestly think hayward didn't respond because he was scared. now, much more jacked, i'd love if hayward just responded by slowly walking up to him and laughing at him, like he's a little, dumb bitch.

The only blatant disrespect is West - it's obvious he's bullying Hayward and has no respect for him.

Afflalo was frustrated he was getting his butt kicked and his team was getting crushed. Malone elbowed Thomas and Robinson - two H.O.F. players. Noone is excluded. Afflalo didn't elbow Hayward because he didn't have respect for him - again - he was frustrated.

Williams is just a punk with a bad attitude. We all know that.

People would be less likely to disrespect Hayward now because he would be more likely to torch them. That and we're a tougher team with Booker as our enforcer (happy to say I was at this game):

If you don't respect Haywards game now, he'll just pick you apart. Players know this now, and if they don't they will by the end of the game.

Didn't look even a tiny bit scared to me. Looked like he found the idiocy pointless.

I think Booker's tough and I love him but this video doesn't really do much to support that. Griffin wraps his hand around his head and Booker doesn't really do much other than talk. I'd have swiped that ****ing hand from my head and gone ballistic.
