yeah, I think O'Brien is untethered
The Jazz have temporarily lost his rights as he can sign with anyone but the Stampede hold his rights as I think with Cooley.

According the Jazz FB feed they just waived Grant Jerrett.
3 down (Cooley, O'Brien and now Jerrett).
It looks like that last spot is between Cotton, Johnson and Graham. Which one gets to stay on the island?
So keeping an extra unproven and ineffective PG is really improving the depth? It would make most sense to keep Cotton. Just my opinion. We have more depth at other positions, and our PG spot is either unproven, or ineffective if we go by recent history.

Not necessarily good depth, but another body in case of injury, and the odds that one of them will prove to be a good place holder.
It's not like our team will be any better no matter which one we choose. We might as well choose to keep someone in our least solid spot. Either that or cut them all and get a more proven PG some other way, but I honestly don't see much out there that would be better than Cotton anyways.
Ben Gordon is available. He got waived by Golden State ysterday. He was the third player taken in the 2004 draft. Has some mileage on the tires but might be a good placeholder for a year until X gets back.
Locke, via twitter says that the battle for the final two spots is down to 4 players: Cotton, Withey, Johnson and Graham.
I say Withey and Johnson take it. Cotton is the dark horse and Graham is toast.
He also said, again, "remember Joe Ingles was not on Jazz roster at this point last year. Lots can happen". Just caution or trying to hint at something?
I want to see Graham in action.
I would too. I was hoping he would be the next Wesley Matthews.

Let's not forget that Elijah Millsap has an unguaranteed contract as well. Has he secured a spot on the final roster?
I'm not a Millsap fan, I think there are more talented players in D-League.
I'm hoping for Withey and Johnson. I think Withey is a lock. Johnson showed he can score last season. I don't think he's reached his potential.
I like Cotton but his preseason was inconsistent and that is concerning. Had he played better Burke could have been expendable.
