Not sure what your reference is, but last time I checked, they weren't even leading the conference. They're 13-5, have had a few bad losses and played poorly in stretches. Key backups are either aging or not performing as well as expected. Not saying they aren't a very good team. But the gap has narrowed. I wouldn't call them a lock for the title. Houston has a chance, Boston matches up well with them. Cleveland still lurks. Even OKC proved (with a 17-pt win) that they can compete against GS.
So yes, I maintain that while others have improved to close the gap, GS has also not looked as dominant.
