Good question. According to the birther nutjobs, the answer is that "anyone can get a short form certificate from Hawaii, even anyone who wasn't born in Hawaii." The whole crux of the matter is his place of birth. If he was born in Hawaii he is a US citizen. Who his parents are on the long form or where in Honolulu he was born is absolutely irrelevant.

But not anyone can get a short form certificate that states they were born in Honolulu in Honolulu County on the island of Oahu. When that fact is presented to them, they then start babbling about how the certificate is a fake and whatever helps them feel comfortable with their idiocy.

Didn't read the thread, but I just had to ask: what kind of pompous douchebag do you have to be to put your PhD on the cover of a political attack book? I understand slapping it on the cover of a book related to your field, but for this? The ego is overpowering.

"Paging Dr. ******." No, but really that bothers me more than anything ever (possible exaggeration) when people HAVE to be addressed as "Doctor".
