What's new

Is this team better on the road than the Dwill/Booz teams?

Yes, the DWill/Boozer teams routinely won only 30% pf their road games.
No they didn't.

From 06/07 through 09/10, the Jazz were 73-91 on the road (.445), and 15-26 in 08/09 (.366...the worst road record during that stretch).

No they didn't.

Sarcasm, GVC. It's absurd to believe a 5-12 record with a ton of blowouts is even being put in the same league as the DWill/Boozer teams. Jazz' signature road win this season is over Denver? Or perhaps Phoenix? They also have victories at Orlando, Charlotte and Sacramento, I believe. Yep, pretty impressive (sarcasm alert!).

They are certainly competing harder on the road, allbeit with a way worse team

Were there this many terrible teams back then?

This is a problem of league expansion. Just because we added more teams does not mean that magically we had a ton more super-talented all-star caliber players added to the mix. We have thinned out the talent pool, and as a result we have more crappy teams.

The league expanded in the last 5 years? (I do agree that there are not enough stars, but why wasn't this a problem 5 years ago. I guess "superteams" has a little to do with it)

Sure are.

In retrospect, those teams were embarrassingly unfocused. That answer was glaring at us all along and I refused to believe it.
