Is this the worst rebuild in NBA history?

Blew up a #1 seed with two superstar players
4-5 years of misery
Held onto vets too long that cost us a chance at Wemby
Traded those vets for the Lakers 2027 pick
Helped the Lakers get Luka thus destroying the value of the 2027 pick
Have 3 picks in a 2027 class which looks historically bad
On the verge of losing our 2026 pick

Have a core that will top out as a fringe playoff team with two dominant teams in the West on the rise.

Is Danny the worst executive in the league?

I mean, you're off your rocker. Jazz have Keyonte, Ace and Lauri, plus Walker and a decent big off the bench in Filipowski. They need to score in this summer's draft, but it's likely they'll get a good player there.

Not looking good that's for sure. But a few teams like the clippers and warriors had literally decades of some level of ****** to mediocre in their pasts, so we aren't quite there yet, but for a team that is supposed to be actively in a true tank/rebuild we are doing a ****ing absolutely ******* Job of it so far.

@YoungJefe is a bit hyperbole with this thread but doesn’t change the fact that he’s right about some of the decisions or lack of decisions made as far as the tank goes if we miss out on our pick this year that’s catastrophic and we risk just being what we were before we blew up our last team. We never should’ve kept all those vets and we definitely should’ve traded Lauri long ago. And two of our top three top 10 pics aren’t even hardly playing. This isn’t the worst rebuild in the history of the NBA or anything, but we’ve definitely missed out on some opportunities. I just hope you don’t miss out on the one standing in front of us the 2026 NBA draft.

So the worst rebuild in history is a bunch of promising young guys, a breakout star, another older star (that has a game that's posible to age gracefully), and is only able to lose enough in year four because of a season ending injury to their starting center after 5 games ?

I'm going ahead and take a guess that problably there's been worse.

Tanking is going to get us a 5 seed or worse I think last year made that painfully obvious. Also, the league is going to start penalizing tanking so it's very clear that the NBA is frowning upon teams that tank. I believe the Jazz sitting in the middle of the bottom gives us the best odds.
