Is Trey Lyles Dead to Snyder

Trey had a DNP-CD last night. With Favors injury it would appear he was needed. I'm getting the feeling he is entering the land of Brock Motum, Kevin Murphy, Jack Cooley, Bryce Cotton and Elijah Millsap as far as Quin is concerned.

I think he's just going through an extreme sophomore slump. I think he still has a future on this team but not at this stage. He was at least viable his rookie year but hasn't been able to hit his shots this year. I think it has more to do with confidence then lack of skill.

I agree. This is probably the first time in his life that he hasn't gotten significant and consistent minutes, and he's still young. It's completely a confidence issue right now.

Give him some burn in the dleague to find his shot/confidence.

That and JJ ha been great in the stretch PF role for the Jazz.

This coaching staff works hard on player development and I bet they are working hard on Lyles.

Lyles has been awful and we want to win. Why play him?

If he's just a DNP - CD, they might as well give him some run down in the D league. Bolomboy has had a solid year down there, and maybe it'll help with Lyles confidence. In all honesty, it can't hurt.

Whatever the case, I'm happy with what Snyder does with him. Sometimes we're too close to the first to see the trees. . . but the Jazz have one of the best player development coaching staffs in the whole league.

There is a joke somewhere in here about, Quin, Lyles, and him being as dead as the hookers in his trunk but I don't feel like laying it out.

Also we've heard of the six degrees of separation and Kevin Bacon... every potential move we ever make has the Same effect for homey but it always links back to Brock Motum.

I think Trey needs to be play with the Stars and take those glamorous road trips with them to Sioux Falls, Grand Rapids and Fort Wayne.

Trey is essentially done for the season. It is going to take an off-season of physical preparation and shooting thousands of shots a day for him to resurrect his career.

Because:

a) Derrick Favors needs minutes and needs to maintain trade value

b) Boris Diaw really moves the ball and helps our offense

c) Joe Johnson is our best PF for the 4-out line-up

Lyles isn't ready.

I agree about him going to the D-league but I disagree that it can't hurt.
If a player goes to the D-league and sucks then it could hurt their confidence more.
