Isiah Collier Hype and Appreciation Thread

Already the best passer on the team. The kid should be the starting PG on day one.
He’s already easily a better point guard than Keyonte.

But can they play together defensively?

Someone would have to guard the opponent’s bigger guard..

I don't think he is a better pg than Key. Key is more of a scorer but he also showed some really nice passing chops last year in real games. I like what I have seen so far from Collier but it's still just summer league.

Collier’s passing seem much more natural, like it’s his second nature. Passes are instinctive.

Keyonte’s natural tendency is to score, he has to think too much when passing and so they are less effective.

Some of those passes last night were impressive. And Collier already seems to know when to pass and when to keep driving toward the basket. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes on offense. There was a play where Brandon Williams blasted past him for an easy two -Collier will figure things like that out quickly.

Collier looks like a backup PG in the league, and I mean that as a compliment. He looks like he can lead an offense and do enough good things that he can stick around in the league as a floor.

He's young enough that he can still develop a few things to get him to a starter quality player. Mainly I think he needs to develop a floater and become a great outside shooter and he could be really good. I think he's capable of those things and so I'm really high on him.

His passes are definitely not instinctive, he forces a lot. He's just more of a downhill attacker which is what opens up passing opportunities, namely assist opportunities, more than anything. I don't think Collier is any better at passing than Keyonte is, he just has less ability to get his own shot.
