Although returning to the JCPOA will not happen overnight, it could easily happen this year. And if Biden returns the United States to a JCPOA 2.0, it could reverse positive momentum in the Middle East by destabilizing the peaceful balance of power Biden inherited.

Biden won't have to veto it. That would be too embarrassing. He'll have the House's upcoming Ukraine-Israel aid package killed off in the Senate and then publicly blame the House Republicans for not passing the Senate version which contains the 5k border crossings per day poison pill. As before, House Speaker Mike Johnson will go public with his willingness to negotiate to get something done only for Biden to refuse to meet with him. I could be wrong but I'm thinking that is how it will play out to keep Biden's name off anything that looks like money going to Israel, especially in a way that Trump can take credit for it after Trump went public today with how to get it done.
