Israel-Hamas War

Where did you get that from?
Did you ask the poster who posted right before me the same question? Ask him first and get back to me.

This Biden guy seems pretty happy that the Hamas leader was killed.
Not sure if Biden is considered a Democrat or Republican though.

President Joe Biden said Thursday that the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar by Israeli troops is a “good day for the world,” calling it an opportunity to free hostages held by the militant group and end the yearlong war in Gaza.

In an earlier statement, the president compared the reaction to Sinwar's death to the feeling in the U.S. after the killing of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, who was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

He said the killing of the mastermind of the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel “proves once again that no terrorists anywhere in the world can escape justice, no matter how long it takes.”

He praised U.S. special operations forces and intelligence operatives who helped advise Israeli allies on tracking and locating Sinwar and other Hamas leaders over the past year — though the U.S. said the operation that killed Sinwar was an Israeli one.

Iran could move to build a nuclear bomb after being weakened by wars in the Middle East, the White House has warned Donald Trump.

Joe Biden’s national security advisor said he had briefed the incoming president on the “risk” of Tehran obtaining the weapons.

It comes as Mr Trump is reportedly considering airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilitieswhen he becomes commander in chief again.

Jake Sullivan, the White House national security adviser, said he has told the Trump team to be “vigilant” for the threat of nuclear escalation.

Observers fear that the loss of Iran’s key allies may prompt Tehran to accelerate its nuclear programme as a means of defence.

Iran has been trying to build a bomb for 40 years and will continue to try to build the bomb, as long as Israel has it they will want it. They will eventually get it, much like Pakistan (Who was their Prime Minister who said something like "our people will eat grass if they need to in order to build the bomb:?) The question is what will they do once they have it and can it be kept out of the hands of fundamentalists? I would venture that Iran's theatrocracy is a big reason why they haven't managed to do it yet. I wonder who will build Americas bombs in the future as you continue to unravel the enlightenment in your country?

A international doctor working in the besieged Gaza Strip has told Channel 4 News that he is treating a disturbing number of injuries linked to Israeli-run so-called aid distribution points, which have been condemned as death traps.

Speaking from a Gaza hospital, the doctor said he and his colleagues have observed a troubling pattern: multiple patients, in particular teenage boys, are arriving with gunshot wounds to the same part of the body.

Most recently, teenage boys are arriving in the hospitals all shot in the *********, he said.

The remarks add to growing reports that areas near these "aid" sites - ostensibly set up to provide relief - have become zones of deliberate targeting Palestinians.

But just let one college student dare to protest against Israel….Between deliberately shooting them dead while they wait for food, and just starving them to death outright. Yeah, we should not allow idealistic young people to protest these events…

I was slower than some on this board to call this a genocide. But it’s devolved into a genocide. It’s clear that Netanyahu is trying to ethnically cleanse Gaza and he’s relying on the United States to look the other way. I do remember last summer when pro Palestinian folks were talking about out supporting Trump. They asked, “could it get any worse with him?” Um. Yeah. A lot worse. I’m guessing Kamala would’ve been far more sensitive to the needs of Palestinians than Trump will ever be.

Yep. I said it at the time. All those people protesting Kamala for not doing anything for Palestinians (she wasn't the ****ing president at the time!) were going to help trump get elected who would be even worse for Palestinians.
Whelp

Israel is perpetuating a holocaust of its own. This will not end well for them.

Two of Israel’s best-known human rights groups said Monday that Israel was committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, adding fuel to a passionately fought international debate over whether the death and destruction there have crossed a moral red line.

The two groups were B’Tselem, a rights monitor that documents the effects of Israeli policies on Palestinians, and Physicians for Human Rights — Israel. Their announcement was the first time major Israeli rights groups have publicly concluded that the Gaza war is a genocide, an assessment previously reached by some organizations like Amnesty International.

In a report titled “Our Genocide,” B’Tselem cited the devastating effects of Israel’s war on ordinary Palestinians to support their claim: the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza; the razing of huge areas of Palestinian cities; the forced displacement of nearly all of Gaza’s two million people; the restriction of food and other vital supplies.

All together, the Israeli campaign has amounted to “coordinated action to intentionally destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip,” the organization wrote. “In other words: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”
