I hate his sets. Absolutely hate them. He runs some of the horns (when he isn't doing the screen mismatch crap that the best NBA teams have personnel to negate) but does not run the wrinkles that Pop does.

Look at what Pop is doing. The Spurs aren't that talented, bit they run sets that get good shots. And they play defense (get over screens, guard shooting hand coming over screens, anticipate screens and don't let the defender get set, take charges, etc.). And they own the Jazz.

Quin was touted as an offensive genius. When that didn't come to fruition, the Jazz touted him as a defensive genius, when our D sucks with Rudy off the floor.

Understood, but the Spurs lack talent. If the Jazz made defensive effort like the Spurs do, they'd be much better.

Edit: without Gobert, the Jazz would rank around 28th in defense. Pretty pitiful.

You mean the Jerry Sloan who let the likes of Memo and Boozer play matador defense while he hurt AKs career (the guy who played defense).

LMAO AK was trash. Stat padder on a trash team. Once Deron, Booz, and Memo came along he was worthless.
 
Let's have this year's summer league team have Willie Reed, Haas, NWG, JWF, Paul White, Oni, Brantley, Tucker, Morgan, Bluiett, Collinsworth, Pryor, Mike Scott ahd the rooks that come in the draft and see if we can go undefeated in both leagues. If they go undefeated give everyone a guaranteed contract and trade everyone except Spida, Rudy and Bojan.
