What's new

**** it. Would anyone do Royce White if they knew they could only get 45-55 games out of him?

I think it would be really difficult for the players when we lose a game they feel like we should've won when he wasn't there

Good point. I would have a pre-arrangement that he plays only 58 games. 41 home games and 17 road games. He has flown before, but sometimes it is just too much. Give him time off when we play some of the worst teams.

He was MVP of some Canadian league. He admits he still has anxiety issues and it doesn't sound like BS. At all. He also makes it sound like he doesn't give a **** about money. Would anyone do a 1+1 for him? He could play all home games, maybe west coast swings, and possibly a few other games if travel time by car allowed for it.

I don't know what his skill/athletic ability is, but if it's high enough I'd absolutely support the Jazz working with him. I have a close family member who suffers from generalized anxiety disorder (same thing he has), and while it does create limitations it also can be worked with to a large extent.

For what it's worth, I remember John Madden also had an issue with flights. He had his own bus that he took from city to city to broadcast NFL games. Granted the NBA is harder (more frequent games), but seems like ~45-55 games might be doable as you suggest. Not sure how playoffs would work, though.

From what I recall of Royce White, while he had legitimate anxiety issues, I think his bigger problem stemmed from the fact that he was a major a-hole.
