What's new

It's hard to judge Dennis Lindsey

I definitely think it's fair to say that we will eventually need to upgrade from Booker, hopefully that is what Lyles can be.

I think that's one of the reasons we didn't look to add someone who would be considered an upgrade.

Booker is the perfect bench guy imo he knows his role and doesn't ever lose the game for you, but some nights his energy, toughness, or shooting can win you a game. Great locker room guy and he is a good person as well. If lyles isn't ready next year I'd love to have Book back.

We should have signed Jeremy Lin. Dude was dirt cheap and he is still young and can score and shoot above average.

Potential is such a dangerous word. Lyles has tons of potential.

I think had we known Dante would get hurt we would have been in on that. Every year there are guys like him that get signed on the cheap and it's puzzling to me. Who's better Reggie Jackson or Jeremy Lin? It's a legit question. One guy makes $2 M on a one-year deal another makes $14M on a 5 year max.

Everyone who watches the Jazz, and even the sport enter talking heads who have never seen the Jazz all agree the Jazz need of help if they want to contend for a playoff spot this season. The Jazz are also 6 million below the cap. I suspect they have a deal in place, even if it is only at a basic level.

I doubt they want to try for the lottery again this year.

I started seeing Alec Burks as a point guard and it fixed all my problems. I mean, the culture surrounding the NBA has taught me to see Russell Westbrook that way, so why not? And there are others I could name. Harkening to Q's ATL connections, I could say that Alec resembles Teague more than he does any 2-guard on that roster.

A lot of everybody's questions on the jazz are loaded onto the question: What is Alec Burks to Q? (I do happen to KNOW that between Gordon and Alec, there isn't any problem getting the ball up the floor).

Our #1 need is shooting in the backcourt/wings. If that comes in the guise of a more traditional looking point guard, fine.

I would like to see the Jazz, among Burks, Hood and Hayward, have the one not being defended by a PG, especially a pesky PG, bring the ball up.

I heard that Joe Ingles has secretly been working on his handles all summer, and not just his love handles. . .

Regardless of his injury, Lin would have made a great back-up. It's not like he signed with the Hornets to be a starter. Lin >>>> Burke
