What's new

It's official! Dante, Motum make the cut, will play in World Championship

Am I worrying too much when I think that having too many players at the World Championship might make Jazz players get tired at the end of the season?

I really don't know how many games a national team plays if it goes all the way in this tournament.

Since the Jazz have no playoff expectations, I don't think it's a big issue for this season.

By the way, any word yet on whether Neto will make Brazil's team? I've read that he's one of two players under consideration for the final two spots.

uh...ok...then he will make the team.

Someone needs to do some photoshops with dantes face there. it looks prime for it.

Mr. Jawai was a 2nd round pick of Toronto a few years back and played some in Idaho when he was the Raptor's property. He does have NBA experience and i think is playing in Europe now. He was horribly out of shape when he played for Idaho.

So how many of the Australian NT have NBA experience?

Jawai, former nba player (huge guy)
Dellavedova, current Cavs backup guard
Bairstow, 2014 draft pick, Bulls backup Center
Aron Baynes, end of bench guy but has a ring as you know
David Andersen, former Hornet, washed up stretch 4-5
Joe Ingles, quality SF in Europe. I Love his game.

Dante-Motum...

I think their whole team attended that Australian Institute of Sport for high school. They look like one the top 5 teams at this FIBA Cup thing to me.

Heh, team Australia. How many here went to the Dream Team (I only recognize one Dream Team) matchup with Australia in the Delta Center? The one where that little guard Shane Heal scored 30+ and tried to pick a fight with Charles Barkley? That dude still needs to be involved with Australia Basketball, right?

You basically say Australia can play in semi final. That is simply impossible.
Brazil, France,Serbia, Spain,USA,Lithuania,Greece,Slovenia and even Turkey are all better and more experienced than Australia. A top 10 team at best, in terms of player quality.

That was a long time ago. I guess it was Dream Team 2. in 96?
