Its Time to Tank

Atlanta traded the 3rd pick to Mavs who selected Luka, and picked Trae at Mavs turn (5th). Marvin Bagley III was the 2nd pick.

Oh and while I agree that Trae should still be recognized as a star, that star is looking dimmer by the day. Hawks fanbase has been slowly turning against him over the past year, and the haters numbers are growing. He also looks like he might be ousting his second HC in as many years and has been the absolute worst 3PT shooter in the league this year (28.7% is dead last among 105 players with 100 or more attempts... and Trae has 186).

Ya i have never been a fan of trae. He is a chucker supreme. Thinks he is steph but isnt really even close.

He's a great passer but just too ball dominant and too ****** on defense. Steph is now a good defender and he moves so much off ball that you have 5 guys constantly nervous about where he is. Trae has too much Harden in that he controls the ball and isn't a threat offball. Means the team lives and dies by your shooting/performance.

Losing Heurter is an underated hit on him imo. Having Dejounte is all about the Trae Young defensive liability issues but has hurt him. Dejounte is the better choice to run that team now, and the perfect fit next to Dejounte is Sexton who is from Georgia. I think Ainge would do a trade yesterday that was something like Sexton, (Mike or JC) & the Jazz own 23 first top 4 protected, for Trae Young , Jalen Johnson, and the Hawks 23 2nd via CHA

Another day.. another "this team is too good to tank" performance.. LOL ..
We need to change our name to the Utah Jeckle and Hyde's. You never know which team will be playing any given night. Could be the team that loses to the worst teams in the league, or the team that routes the best teams in the league.

If Lauri and COnley play you know they are going to be good with a chance to win. The Jazz have been consistently good all year. They dont always win, but they havent gotten blown out all year, so the Jekyl/Hyde thing is not even close to being true.

LMAO

I agree with Cy on this one. If we are healthy we are good. We are a playoff team. We are consistently good. When we are unhealthy we are inconsistent (although still surprisingly mostly good) which makes sense.

Also i think most fans pull their hair out about this. Even great teams lose to bad teams and get blown out sometimes. Its an 82 game season in a make or miss nba. Its gonna happen and happen somewhat frequently.

We arent inconsistent though, even with players out. That's such a BS thing to say and clearly shows you have no idea what actual inconsistency in the NBA looks like.

The Jazz have been in more clutch games than anyone in the NBA. The Jazz have failed in those minutes because of the Conley injury, but they have been incredibly consistent game to game with making every game a winnable contest.

I dont think any other team in the NBA could have their 2nd best player out (along with other injuries) and play as well as we did. We nearly beat the freaking Nuggets without Lauri, Sexton, Conley, or Clarkson.

Lol. I agreed with you. I think we have been very consistently good all season. Even when we were missing some of our best players. We just werent as good without some of our best players and that makes sense and is expected. So were werent consistent with our win/losses.

Just like i said in the post you quoted and tried so hard to disagree with.
Sorry cy we feel the exact same way on this topic. I hope you are ok with that.
