If pretty much any team in the league was suddenly without 3 of their top guards, there would be "someguy" playing 15 minutes.

I told you its a terminology debate. Define tanking. Is it any trade that makes you worse?
If yes, then we disagree on the term.
If no, then define the line between "rebuilding move" and "tanking move"
To me if the move is NOT designed to give us more wins and a better chance at making the playoffs THIS year, then it’s tanking for THAT year.

Those numbers for Kessler as a rookie center are unreal.
The Jazz were going to make that trade regardless of if they owned their own pick this year or not.
It’s nothing to do with our own pick or not.. it’s whether the move takes us AWAY from making the playoffs or not this year.
Again I would argue that trading away 3 of your starters just as the playoffs race heats up equates to doing just that.

So sad that we are still arguing tanking or not tanking after that trade. Everything we traded is worth way more than a top 4 protected pick 4 years away. Lol only on jazzfanz.
