Jackpotting Around Episode 30- Emotion Dump and Lauri Markkanen Trade

I disagree on the Sensabaugh stuff. He can shoot. Sometimes he can do primary ball handler stuff. But he is slow on D. He plays smaller than his size on D. The dream is to have better on the ball players in the future. And his D limits his value as a role player. Hopefully he grows out of these weaknesses. But I view this season as. A pump to his trade value. We cannot keep all these young guys.

At the end of the day he's a guy who can score and shoot at a NBA level. I think all of our young players have NBA level skills which is nice but they all also have flaws (besides Kessler) that could prevent them from being rotation players on good teams.

No reason to give up on Brice at all. I'm not a big believer, but I'm also not out and would like to give him the full 4 years to see how he can improve.

That being said, if there was a good trade out there that needed one of our guys thrown in to get a deal done, he would be my pick as the sacrificial lamb

Id ask for Tari, not Bari

I mean, you can ask, but Tari has been straight up better than Lauri this year so they would say no, lol.

Again, the ceiling for Lauri is the Pascal Siakam trade.

-Top 35 player at best but a clear 2nd or 3rd option.
-28 year old PF that some teams may be uncomfortable about having to pay a 4 year, 30% max.
-Rebuilding team that has held onto their guys for way too long for unclear reasons.

The issue is that Lauri has been so mediocre since the trade deadline last year and has been injured so much that he caries massively more risk than Siakam did when he was traded. If Lauri has 20 or 30 great games to start next year, the Jazz can probably get back what the Raptors got for Siakam (an unprotected but so so pick for that year, an unprotected but so so pick two years later, some throw-ins).

I understand your schtick is to be a negative douche, but at least be informed of what is being discussed. KD is going to Houston, not Lauri, so even though what you said is complete BS, it doesn't even matter.

Well, I think Phoenix would want Tari even more relative to Markkanen as Phoenix is 27th in defense and needs to shed a ton of salary.
