Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

Eh.

We're 3rd in the league in assist rate and gave up nobody that contributed much to that stat.
true. I guess my concern might be the more ball stoppers you put in the lineup, the more that impact the offense. Hardy might be able to figure it out but I would feel quite a bit better about the trade and thus that 5 man lineup of Key, Ace Laurie, JJJ, Walker if JJJ was a passer of the ilk of a Noah or Gasol. Maybe Ace or Laurie will surprise us

Zach Gram and ESPN need to make a comment about the Jazz assists (or lack of from LM & JJJ). I am sure they are accurate. Maybe they should work on their reporting. See Jazz Transaction screen on ESPN. What is missing?1770329400308.png

There's plenty of shade about JJJ and the Jazz in the national media and podcast scenes. I'm sure JJJ and the rest of the team will find plenty chips to add to their shoulders.

I'm intrigued by JJJ and am hopeful but gravely concerned at the level of risk associated with this trade. I do not see him as the all in solution to moving forward The Jazz are making an enormous gamble here and I hope they are right. They are all in on our new core 5. For the anti tankers, be careful what you wish for. If anything goes wrong we we will be stuck in a worse place that we have been. JJJ's 4 years $200M is a ton. Probably an over pay. All of our best draft capital is spent in this acquisition. All of our cap space is spent in this acquisition. Many say Laurie is also an over pay and we essentially could not have traded him if we wanted to. Kessler will likely be an overpay this summer or lost for nothing. If we lose Kessler we reportedly passed on 2 unprotected Indiana picks. If we lose this years tank as a result of impatience we are now stuck for the next 4 years with no viable options to get another high level talent. Jazz are back back to having very little flexibility. If we can get Dallas' luck and move up in the lottery this will pay off. If we drop below 8 I see this as a hasty move and not fully engaging in the rebuild.
