Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Yeah, only 3.5 games out of a playoff spot and our schedule the rest of the year is the easiest stretch of the year for us.

Depending on how trades and health goes I think we have a decent shot of making the playoffs.

Winning tonight was a big jump start for making a playoff push. Most people counted this as a loss. Jazz are starting to get it figured out on the court. Too bad they couldn’t pull out a couple of earlier close games. They’d be in an even better spot to make the postseason.

Bus got an overhaul, Rubio and Jingles filled the tank and Mitchell passed the CDL exam.

Clippers, Nuggets and Pelicans all lost.
I think GS would be happy if we got the 7th seed. Not that I think we can defeat them, but it would be a physical series that they'd rather avoid.

Jazz have had the 3rd most difficult schedule up to this point. Spurs, Blazers and Nuggets have had the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th easiest.

We realistically could catch Denver and the Clippers before the All star break or a few games after if we don’t lay any duds. Clips looked bad last night and should struggle at this point, and well.....

The Nuggets schedule is brutal. They play OKC, Warriors, Rockets, and Spurs before the All star break. AFter all star break they start @Bucks, Rockets again, and Spurs again. They also play the Cavs twice (which isn’t something to count on at this point), but the Nuggets could lose some games quick.

The thought of making the playoffs kind of sucks as far as draft position goes, but it would also be incredibly impressive after such a brutal stretch, so many injuries, and last offseason. Not to mention the games we lost that we shouldn’t have.

That being said, we must go into Phoenix and show up and not get blown out like the Hawks game. If Rubio has figured things out I think it’s likely the Jazz will be a 4 game sweep #8 seed.

I'm fine with being a 4 game sweep this season. After all the turmoil, making the playoffs would be great and set a nice tone for the future of the franchise. If they can win one game against GS, I'd be really happy and might consider this season better than last season.

Considering that you’ve got guys like AD, Cousins and Porzingis all talking about how important playoff experience is. . . I’d be perfectly happy with the Jazz squeaking into the playoffs. I’d bet that they fight hard once they got there. Successful usually builds on itself. That’s a great way to start the Donovan Mitchell Era.
