Wow... a +45 win team is going to miss the playoffs... has that ever happened before? This is insane.

I think it's happened fairly frequently in the West. I just pulled up the 2015 standings and the Thunder finished with 45 wins in 9th place that year.

Uhh, the argument of if you want an easier first round opponet or not is stupid. Of course you want the easier first round opponent, ask Tracy McGrady. Dude gets **** on for his career because he got bounced in the first every year. He would have gladly taken an easier opponent. I think the perception of advancing in the playoffs regularly matters, even it's only to the 2nd round.
