Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

I don’t think the Warriors will be doing us many favors down the stretch. And I doubt they will want to rest starters when everyone is just back from injury for the last game.

Luckily we are playing well enough to beat anyone, and we control our own destiny 100%

And now Klay has a broken thumb. Unfreakin' real. He'll be out just long enough for the Dubs to lose some games that we need them to win vs our stiffest competition and yet come back in time to play against us in the penultimate game of the season.

It looks like it will help us. They play the spurs next week, then the jazz on the 25th. They can still beat the spurs with how bad they are right now, and it helps the jazz with Klay out.
They won't play another team in the race till Oklahoma on April 3rd and pelicans on the 7th. Then the jazz is the last game of the season for them. I don't think they are going to have a shot at first, so probably will be resting for the playoffs. It just made 2 of the hardest games left on the schedule much more winnable. I think it's great news.

We have two games vs GSW too. It's possible we can win both, which increases our projected record to 49 games.
So GSW checking out of RS is fine. The real issue is HOU following the suit once they guarantee #1.. we have no game against them but other contenders do.

Orlando and Kings both won last night against playoff teams... goes to show you not to take beating the tanking teams for granted -- can't afford a let down at all in these next few games

I'd add a few qualifiers to this:

1. They beat EC playoff teams.
2. I ultimately think them winning is a good thing. Kind of like a whale surfacing for air and getting a good breath to sustain itself before it plunges back down into the abyss. When we roll in to a place like Memphis and they're on a 15-game losing streak, that stuff scares me.
3. Now that they've put up some wins, the coach (if they're on board) will be more pressured to ensure they aren't picking up more Ws.

Let the tankers win as many games as possible against teams that aren't the Jazz.

Game day update:

Jazz v Suns
Clippers @ Rockets
Pelicans @ Spurs (win win, but I want a Spurs win)
Pistons @ Nuggets
Cavs @ Blazers

If the bolded and Spurs wins here is what the west 3-10 would look like:

3. Blazers
4. Thunder (1)
5. Wolves (1.5)
6. Pelicans (2)
7. Jazz (2.5)
8. Spurs (2.5)
9. Clippers (3.5)
10. Nuggets (4.5)

Yeah I mean we don't play Orlando again so that doesn't really matter. Suns tonight, Mavericks, Hawks, Grizz coming up... all of these teams might be thirsty for a win and the point being they're clearly not laying down every night, beating teams that we have lost to previously
