If you want to get into crazy conspiracy territory, given the Jazz front office history and relationship with Cleveland, they could have known the Cavs had interest in him and would have an easy avenue to offload him if the opportunity arose- and we know they've had their eyes on Clarkson for a while too. They just had to make sure to pay Exum enough to make the salaries work out

this is rudy's best season yet even though his defensive stats went down.

Ed is a solid backup C on most of the teams this year, but what rudy's done for us this year is so non-human that it made Ed look bad when we tried to have him replicate rudy's work.

This is all great and all... we can beat bad teams. Which is what most of what the NBA is. Look at the teams we’ve played over this wonderful 20 game stretch. Bad to pretty weak I’d say. None of this matters if we you can’t beat the best 2 or 3 teams in the league.

The real question is: can we beat the Bucks in a 7 game series? Can we beat the Lakers? The Clippers? The Celtics?

I want to believe - I’m starting to believe - but much of this is fool’s gold - we haven’t been tested by the best yet.
