The deal is going to look similar to the Gobert deal except I think we get more picks back and better prospects. All of these guys have pretty decent draft capital invested in them. I would love to get 3 of them.

There is no such thing as a team wanting to trade for a 25 year old 3 time all star who has 3 years on his deal having leverage in trade talks. Ainge has ALL the leverage anyone can ask for. The team that has the most valuable asset that others want always has the leverage.

A year from now, after Leon Rose and his team have been fired, the Jazz can re-explore Mitchell's trade market. That will also give more teams a year to make moves to trade for him.

I just don’t get it, there’s no logic to that argument. It might be fun to hold him for a year and have an ASG representative in Utah - I could get behind delaying the tank for a year to make sure we maximize our guys value. You tell Donovan that we’ll trade him to a preferred destination when the time is right, and if he demands a trade he’s going to Sacramento. The Knicks regime could legitimately get fired for making this deal, there’s no risk of that happening in Utah. They might have the most picks of the potential suitors right now, but that can change VERY quickly.

I'm watching Quentin Grimes in Summer League play against the Blazers. I think he's a backup combo-guard. I don't think he's going to affect the Mitchell deal much one way or another. He's less established as a player than Beasley, Beverly or even Vanderbilt for Minnesota.
