According to the IceColdCubano this morning (yes, as always, grain of salt), the Heat have lined up trade deals to acquire more picks, and they are submitting an updated offer to Brooklyn this week for KD.
Where it gets interesting is that it appears that both Miami and New York are in agreement that they'd like a KD trade to happen before a Mitchell trade in order to reset market expectations created by the Gobert trade. If BRK accepts a trade package from Miami for KD (e.g., Herro, Robinson, bunch of picks), it will reset the market for a Mitchell trade to NYK, and hence, the Knicks' current offer for Mitchell will look more fair and reasonable.
If BRK keeps rejecting Miami's weak-sauce offers for KD, that might help to affirm the Jazz's position on what they want in return for Mitchell.
