Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

You might be right, and Thibs is a fan of Rose.

I just see Beverley being a smart pick up for NY if they are trying to change the culture for this young team. He surely has no place in Utah with what we're doing.
Beverly is a unique asset that teams on the cusp crave. Someone is going to overpay by the trade deadline and we going to be carrying DA on our shoulders through the streets of Provo.

Brunson I could understand, but why would Barrett not be thrilled?
They basically play the same spot. I guess Barrett could just play the 3 as they are as close to interchangeable as positions can be. It depends on who goes and who stays. I'm sure he wants his minutes.

I think Barrett will play the 3, and Thibs will stagger Brunson and Don a lot so that Barrett gets minutes at SG too.

I would imagine that the future is Don and Barrett with the hope that Brunson fits alongside that. If he doesn't, he can be moved later for something that fits better.

The trade happens soon... then it is followed up by a Collin Sexton addition... @bigmike added me to the thread.

I agree with that 100%. Beverley won't play a minute for us. Damn shame too.
He's a good player. I think playoff teams will want him so it probably depends on who is willing to pay the most. At this point we are a shopping mall for all seasoned players. Anyone who wants them, Ainge will listen. Bev would be a good option on the Knicks, especially with Thibs. Honestly though, he would be good on any team trying to win.

I’d be totally okay with keeping him until the deadline, but my gut feeling is that some team out there will put a surprise offer on the table for him before training camp gets started.

If Brunson doesn't work in NY, that might be a very hard contract to move.

I wouldn't be shocked if this deal isn't a 3 team deal with the Lakers.

NY gets Don
Lakers get Beverley, Fournier, Randle, whatever
Jazz get Westbrook, tons of NY picks and at least one pick from the Lakers

I think brunson should be 6th man. Thats what I would do anyway. Start don at the point and barrett at the 2 or 3. Bring brunson off the bench. Brunson and Spida together is too short.
