Jazz are committed to Donovan as cornerstone according to Woj

I think the Jazz are making a big mistake in not getting max value out of Donovan while he can still barely dunk. We're not going to re-tool quickly enough to take advantage of him so what's the point? Are the Jazz scared of losing their fan base?
I don’t think this is the time we would get max value out of Donovan. The Kevin Durant mess has put everything at a standstill, and I don’t think the market is maxed out. I think if we wait, a massive godfather offer will come. Ainge knows. Ainge’s strength is his patience. The moment will come and I think the jazz will end up trading Donovan then. But it probably won’t be this off-season and maybe it even this season.

Yes, I think they're just waiting for the best offer. Which may take a while.

Ask yourself what Mitchell trades exist out there right now. The Knicks just signed Brunson, and so at least at the moment I don’t think would be willing to make a stupid desperate trade for Mitchell. Ainge wants the stupid, desperate trade. That’s what he’s looking for. An offer definitely exists in Miami, but Miami’s draft picks aren’t really worth that much; unlike say Minnesota, Miami is always good and is a major free agent destination. Picks from them would never amount to anything. A three team deal with Brooklyn and Phoenix is definitely being talked about. But that requires us to take Simmons, and the best assets in the trade would have to go to Brooklyn. Why would we do that? If we wait for the right moment, Mitchell could bring in a major haul. And hey, in the meantime, maybe we can put a team around him. Why not see how he plays without gobert and a new coach

Let’s not get crazy here. If we deal for Ayton then we’re talking.
I just want to stay positive.

If we made this trade and still had Quin and his system, I wouldn't be as optimistic. But we don't know Hardy. We don't know his system or how good he can be.

I'm gonna stay positive and stand firm that there is no reason to "blow it up" and trade Don.

Plus Pat Bev will keep him motivated. Bring Whiteside back too, and watch Pat bring out the dog in these guys.
I think Bev is more likely to be viewed as a Danuel House kind of guy than a motivator. The ego is tough to deal with in our remaining star. That ego got out best player in decades traded away. That ego couldn't stand Rudy Gay calling it as he saw it with his many years of NBA experience, so he didn't play. That ego will be our downfall. Best move right now is to trade DM for the best haul we can get. If it takes waiting for next year, that's fine. But in the end we won't be competitive with a guy leading the game who leads by regulating his own effort to manipulate the situation. That's bad leadership, period.

Jimmy Butler was that type of guy you're mentioning. Beverly had a lot of respect from his teammates, and he pushed guys like KAT to take the game more serious. We already know how the Jimmy "You ****ing need me!" Butler debacle went.

You think Rudy Gay sat because of Don? That's so laughable. Rudy Gay literally came out and questioned the defense Quin ran built around Rudy. I don't think he played again.

The ego was Quin's not DM. For F sake, DM had his best buddy on the team playing a role we so desperately needed to develop, and the guy never played.

Yall have to start talking in truths. This Don slander is so incredibly lame and counterproductive.

It's baffling. Where was all this when Deron was here? Lol. Everyone loved Deron, and the whole time he had real beef with the most beloved coach this franchise has had.

I’ve never seen quite the cult-like fan club Gobert has. It really doesn’t have to be like this against Donovan. Fact is Donovan is a top-5 Jazz-man of all-time along with Rudy. It doesn’t have to be a competition especially when Rudy isn’t on the team anymore.

It's sad because when he was a rookie full of excitement and energy Jazz Nation LOVED Don, and thought he was our version of Michael Jordan.
