At this moment, the Jazz are 100/1 odds to win the championship. Id put a 100 right now if there was a casino close.


I got that feeling again last night that this is our year. The two teams we struggle with arent dominating us like usual(Lakers and Spurs).

We are built for the playoffs. We can do this.

This reminds me of when my team the Giants came out of no where to win in 07. All the fans were down on them and calling for trades and the coaches head. Then BAM!!!! They became elite and surprised everyone. Last nights game was a mental break through for this team. I believe that game is the stepping stone we needed. Everyone who has been bagging big Al will be loving him come years end.

Something magical is a brewing.
 
i dream it too but, in my dream, both al and millsap torn their acl and mcl. Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors averaged 40 minutes per game. Burks is the finals mvp. Hayward injuried in last game of finals against cHeat.

**** it. <Raises hand.> If we can win in Chicago, that's a huge mental hurdle we've cleared, and then we have a strong chance of shooting off three more in a row at home to pull to 35-24, 11 games over .500, and that much closer to the #4 and 5 seed.

Thats the spirit.


I wouldn't say its impossible for the Jazz to win the championship. Unlikely yes, but we have a lot of key ingredients. Plus we are a mismatch. For a lot of teams.

Look at the best teams.

Miami - sorry *** big situation.
OKC - same thing pretty much.

Ya they have Ibaka and Bosh, but they aren't that big. OKC I think is weaker without Harden. Miami has to rely on Lebron playing clutch and he doesn't have the strongest track record for that.

San Antonio we just want to stay away from.

Our biggest weakness is a stud to close us out, but what if Burks emerges as that guy, or dare I say Al takes us home a few games.

A lot of things would have to fall in place, but its not impossible. We would just have to play outstanding team ball to do it.

If Chris Paul gets injured and we don't meet the spurs i think we are definitely favorites for the title. it's science.

Pros
*Shooting range with Hayward emerging, Foye, and even Mo once he returns. Marvin and Kanter too in their own way too. Burks too w/ PT
*Potential solid interior d with Favors, Kanter, and Jefferson's length if and only if he plays pissed off after last April and goes on a 2010 Zach Randolph rampage
*Hayward/Marvin/Carroll defensive potential too. Very good length here. Marvin's the key. Maybe he comes into the post-season in a defensive zone, hoping to opt out
*Strong bench, giving us flexibility for match-ups
*Ty/Lowe duo

Cons
*Starters staying in the game
*Al/Mo becoming black holes and hurting ball movement
*Prime-time play--I too think Al could actually help out--playing angry does wonders
*Playing 48 minutes/Avoiding spurts
*Missing open shots--good pros hit open shots and some tough ones; bad pros miss too many open ones and virtually all the tough ones
