I may not like some NBA rules as well, does not mean I will vehemently argue about them - especially when they are designed to protect health of the players.

This. Hits to the head intentionally or not are a main focal point in all of sports right now. It may not be the worst foul or malicious but these rules are in place to protect players as you said. Whas it a pretty iffy call? Yes, but the player getting hit is going to get the benefit of the doubt. A flagrant isn't always intentional
