$70k is not a bad deal considering I doubt he works 40 hours per week, and most of the time he is goofing off.
Interestingly enough the program at tonight's game had a blurb about this, an article by Luke Larsen, one of the Bear's assistants. Wrote he:
"My work day varies from day-to-day. There are game days when we arrive at 9:30 am and we work until 10:30 at night. During the season, I work about a 50-hour week on average. We work every weekend it seems. Every Saturday we are doing appearances... I am with Bear at every appearance and we make between 250-300 appearances above and beyond home games each year."
