My guess is that they came to an agreement that the Jazz will pay off the buyout and Pleiss will sign a contract. In the meantime, there's a lot of i's to dot and t's to cross. He goes back to Spain to take care of that, get his life in order and then flies back to Utah to officially sign his contract with the Jazz.

I'm thinking that the agreement is in place for all parties, but the details need to be sorted out.

Just seems kind of weird when Neto did basically the same thing and he stayed and signed and is now working out with Utah. They both got bought out while they were up here.
