I think it's also partly Doc knows exactly how to guard Gobert, maybe in part from seeing how teams guard Jordan.

That's not the reason he set half *** screens and didn't box out often along with other stuff. Jordan is a handful, but there is more going on with him.

Having more consistent shooters on the team would probably spread the floor and help his demeanor more. I'm not seeing his fire this year. Not sorry if that offends anyone.

He has a very long wingspan, but its 6'10" for accuracy. Only posting this since its the second or third time I've seen it written tonight.

He's never looked slow. He gets where he wants to. He just hasn't figured out how to set guys up and finish... I guess he might need a few games to figure it out. Maybe Archie should be patient.

Compare it to JJ who knows how to get where he wants but also reads and manipulates the defense. It will come... rookies rarely play a meaningful role on winning teams and it is largely about the mental side of the game.

Everyone be encouraged that shots went in and that he gets where he wants... he will get better and better as the season goes.
 
I’m going back and forth regarding Rudy’s start to the year. On one hand he’s gone against 4 Of the best centers in the game in Jokic, Jordan, Towns, and Adams, so I want to cut him some slack. On the other hand, he just doesn’t look right. I get it on offense, teams are packing the paint and he hasn’t had much space to work with, but even on defense he’s seemed a step slow, not contesting shots like we’re used to seeing.
