What's new

Jazz @ Clippers October 24th, 8:30 PM Mountain Time

Donovan is a goddamn specimen. 7' wingspan, fastest sprint times in the combine, 40.5 inch vertical, same height and weight as Westbrook, Lillard, etc.

6'3", with that wingspan, vert, and speed, are more than adequate for a 1/2 combo guard, and through the first few games he's actually shown some glimpses of strong passing and vision.

he's confident, and fearless. his shots just aren't falling through the beginning of the season, and he's been making some questionable decisions. those will pass with time. still very high on DM.

Great take. He's a rookie trying to find his rhythm on a team that themselves are still trying to find an identity. He's going to struggle a lot this year but he possesses a lot of natural basketball ability and a good basketball IQ.

Yeah, I had no idea he had a 7' wingspan or he was that fast. Dude is having a hard time taking people of the dribble right now and they're keeping in front of him, or he's trying those teardrops that aren't working for him. He'll fugure it out. Playing against NBA starters is clearly a rookie process for him.

Did you forget the sarcasm font?

I just don't know how you can possibly say he has had a hard time taking people off the dribble. He's been great from most possessions I have watched. His shot selection, shot making, and turnovers are the issues, but issues that can be expected from a young rookie in a large role.

I can think of 3 plays tonight where he dribbled to long, drove, threw up a poor shot with a defender in his face, or turning it over.

I can think of half a dozen times you took to the keyboard with ill thought out, poorly executed comments that in the end were inaccurate over the four quarters

Dude, it's ok. People can be critical of how players have played. Stop denying reality. I love Mitchell and I think we got a steal with him. Dude still has the worst fg % in the NBA right now.

Last couple of seasons I’ve been able to shake off a loss and bad games fairly well. For some reason that has changed this season. Now it pisses me off. What the hell was this ****?

Yeah yeah, Hood, Ingles and Exum and all that crap. Just annoyed.

At least Mitchell appeared to come alive in the 4th. Maybe this and the next 3-4 games against inferior opponents is where he figures it out.
