What's new

Jazz @ Clippers October 24th, 8:30 PM Mountain Time

You mean the guy who got screened? Yeah, he was a whole foot ahead!

Evans didn't get screened, and no, Mitchell wasn't a foot ahead. Mitchell made it all the way to the rim and scored (...which is why it was included as a highlight).

He gets by his defender again starting at 1:37 for the floater.

I stopped reading when you said he didn't get screened. Can you please verify the time you're talking about again cause dude clearly got screened and Mitchell wasn't picked up by the d.

Ok. He looked super great and far superior than his opponents. Donovan Mitchell played on a different level his first 4 games. Rookie of the year here we come!

Btw, not arguing the fact Mitchell isn't an NBA athlete. I'm arguing 6'3" is considered undersized for SGs in the NBA.

Height is not that important compared to his standing reach. Is that average or below?

Dude's wingspan is far above average for his height. I didn't know it was 7' until tonight. What's his standing reach?
Mitchell still is and looks shorter than most guys at his position in the NBA.

Holy **** reading through this thread... DM has been bad this year, but calling him slow?!?!?

Watch at 4:30. To me, Donovan appears to over dribble and overthink on the offensive end. I know he's not slow, but he's not getting to the rim or basket like he did at all in preseason during the first games. So yeah, so far, with NBA starting talent playing against him he looks slow to me. I thought he was gonna be ROTY cause how impressed I was with him during preseason.

He is shorter in height but again that really doesnt matter in basketball. What matters is his standing reach and his vert. I dont know what his standing reach is but he has a long wingspan and a good vert. Those things means his length for his position is probably decent.

People have really weirdly high expectations for Rookies. The fact that Mitchell is helping the team win means he is a very above average rookie so far.

Yeah, I didn't expect Mitchell to start the season with the worst fg % (minimum of 20 attempts) in the entire NBA and to shoot 6/41. Weird of me to praise his defense but be critical of his beyond slow start to the season shooting wise. Do tell me, how are the peaches in Peachiland?

Darn! I should have known better to check here.
I was having a hard time getting tickets earlier due to internet access and schedule of the misus.

Anyway was at the game.
I wasn't even able to locate LogGrad98 :(

Bench was doing well cuting the lead.
Then the Clips made big shots. Game over :(
