Coach Ty should bring Gordie Chiesa back as his principal assistant, lots of experience in Utah, but also with other teams around the league. Plus the guy is the best interview.
Horny later said that with his kids out or mostly out of high school, he would be interested in coaching. When his kids were still young he didn't want to be back out on the road coaching. (Wow, I'm not old, but I sure feel old realizing Hornacek's kids are that old. Seems like just he was saying 'hi' to them at the FT line).
Agree with Jazzman12, Hornacek and Chiesa would be 2-top notch assistants. Chiesa bleeds Jazzbasketball, and he loved to preach "help-the-helper."
Help-the-helper comes off the concept that alot of players are reluctant to play help-defense because they don't want "their man" scoring easy baskets. If you get that 3rd-guy covering for the help-defender, that's how you play unselfish and swarming defense with great rotations.
