Please no, we don't need the 18th pick in this draft, and that would give us a prime position to pick the leftovers from the top 5 picks. No thanks.

If the Jazz know Knight is available at 6 then I would do this. I guess KOC could call in a favor from the Raptors GM (if they are friends at all) and ask them if they are going Knight or Walker.

I agree. The onlyI would do this is if we were 100% taking Knight and could 100% get him at #6. I don't want Kemba.

Anyone who knows anything about this year's draft is there's really not much of a difference between picks 4 -30 range, fake impersonator guy.

18 could land someone like Jordan Hamilton, Kenneth Fahried (a ridiculously good rebounder), Josh Selby, etc. There is always potentially an impact player at 18 in any draft.

Ooh, forgot about Selby, I think he could be a GREAT get at 18 .. though I'd take Hamilton first, if there.

Selby would bring a nice bench scoring dynamic ala Barrea. I'd go with Hamilton over him too though.

18 could be better than 12 or maybe even 6.

They're projected lower but Jeremy Tyler could be a nice gamble and I feel very good about Jimmy Butler. Wesley who?

No, the consensus that I've seen is that this draft is 2 tiers at the top. 1st is Irving, Williams. 2nd is Knight, Kanter. If Knight drops to 6th and we somehow know it, what else does that tell us? Teams would for whatever reason prefer 2 other players ahead of him. Why? I'm sure their reasons are just as good as ours.

You don't ****ing give up a #3 lottery pick for a couple later picks or other trade-down value, that's exactly the same move the Blazers made in the Deron Williams draft. They also thought they were getting comparable talent.

If you make that trade and get an extra pick, then you definitely Jonas Valanciunas if he's there at 12.

But I wouldn't make that trade. Knight, Kemba, Kanter, Vesely. You have to like one of those players atleast slightly more than the others - take him at 3 instead of letting other teams dictate who you pick. That's the benefit of moving up in the lottery.
