Jazz Exit Interviews

Didn't Joe Ingles' 3-pt percentage drop from last year to this one even more than Rubio's did? Joe is expected to be a consistent shooter more than Rubio, right? But Joe is getting a pass because of his defense?

Ricky's PG skills are very good, and no one was expecting him to be a great shooter. Yet Ricky seems to get more than his share of the blame. I love Joe and am not denigrating him, but our losses are not on one player. Ricky has done the job he was hired to do. If we can get a better starting PG, then let's do that. But PGs that are great shooters and great floor generals aren't easy to come by.

What we really need is a PG that stays healthy. We don't seem to have good luck on that score.

I agree that our struggles are not on one player, but the example of Joe's 3P% is not a good one. Joe was much more inconsistent with his shooting, but he shot 39.1% from deep. Yes, that's 5% less than he shot last year, but that's a very high percentage. It's higher than what Korver shot, and only Niang and Thabo shot a higher percentage, and those two guys combined for about a third of the total attempts that Joe had.

Joe doesn't need a pass because he's obviously a better basketball player. Besides STILL being A LOT BETTER of a shooter than Rubio, he still has the toughest defensive assignment every night, and is still a better playmaker and distributor than Rubio. Furthermore, Ingles has shown an exceptional ability to get better every year and adapt to his ever-increasing role. Rubio's largely been game-planned out of being a serious contributor years ago, Joe is still encountering new schemes and increasing pressure tailored to him. Ingles is also older and yet never misses games.

The jazz’s arena is probably super empty and cold right now.

Sounds like the Rockets Arena every game. I have seen high school games with better attendance. Chugging that beer will probably be like watching your kid get some dental work done as you get cut by the Warriors. I can imagine it will be about as loud as well.

PS. We kept Harden's manhood in a cellar locker room next to Chris Paul's Pee drinks. We played BEHIND him and he only averaged 25 points per game this series.

Seriously though. I know he loves being here. I love him as a human from the tiny bit we see. But Jesus. The guy is atrocious from outside and makes Ronnie Brewer's form look like a Godsend.

His mom died from cancer and he's an incredible dude. He is constantly raising money for cancer research.

But ya, light his *** up because he doesn't shoot a ball into a hole as well as other guys.

What a good human being you are. I'm sure Jesus is proud of you.

When was the last time you donated to a charity or did anything worthwhile??

Good article.

Snyder is THE mad scientist.

We have our coach.

We have our defensive anchor.

We have our offensive star

We are missing 1 piece. 1. That second offensive star.

We are literally 1 step away.

Are we talking about the same Ronnie Brewer? The guy with a wrecked elbow who had one of he ugliest jumpshots ever? What are you smoking?

I'll make it easy for you: "I'm wrong. Rubio's jumpshot is better than Brewer's".

Here, more help:

It was obviously a whiff rooted in trying to use some rhetorical flair.

How did he get worse at shooting? I don't remember him having that hitch. **** sucks, god damn.

Haha yeah, remind me Chuck Hayes's form
I guess constantly being reminded that you can't shoot would make the yips show up over time.

I said before and I'll say again: he should've tried to switch his shooting arm. I know that sounds crazy, but the chances he learns to shoot a basketball properly (especially if the elbow-out thing was due to injury) are better starting from scratch. At least in my mind. And if my life depended on it and had every resource in the world. When he was with us, I thought he had pretty good results considering that that is maybe the most busted form I've ever seen (from a perimeter player), so maybe the touch would've translated.

Oh well. I was overjoyed when we traded him, although I always wished him well.
