Jazz Free Agency Summer of 2018

I'm starting to think we're just going to re-sign Favors, Exum, and Neto and run it back next year with basically the exact same team. If we do anything else, I think it'll be adding a scrub like McDermott or Bertans. I have a feeling it's gonna be a really boring offseason for us Jazz fans.

Totally cool with running it back with Favs, Ex, and Neto.

At least one of the NGs needs to get the boot because it would be such a goddamn waste of an opportunity this offseason to not use the MLE to get a bargain deal on a really good player like Avery Bradley, Will Barton, Ariza, Evans, KCP, or Bjelica. As Larsen points out, we are likely the best team with access to the full MLE.

So many teams are gonna have money next year. That’s why 2019 cap space is somewhat overrated.

I really don’t think so. I think we get surprised like when Joe Johnson signed here.

Unless I'm misunderstanding things, the non-guaranteed contracts have zero effect on whether we can use the full MLE.

That might be an issue, but then Neto can be thrown in there as well as someone to let go of. Nothing about the non-guaranteed status compared to the RFA status. It's just about who you don't want to keep.
