What's new

Jazz @ Hawks | Friday November 12th @ 5pm

When's the last time we've had three straight non-playoff games be nationally televised and won all three of them?

Am I living in some crazy alternate universe?

Are the Jazz 3-0 on this road trip so far?!?!?

That's it, I'm officially back to drinking the kool aid!!!!!

No, it doesn't. I can't remember anyone who did it. The closest would be something flukey like Rony Seikaly back in the 90s, or maybe Hakeem.

Last player to do it was Fo, fo, and Fo (Mo Malone) in 1982. Last player with 30 boards only: Barkley in 1996.

They kind of did since AJ is with us now.
Although it would've been nice to have the Jazz training him in the offensive system (and learning to move his feet on D). Key difference between Boozer and Jefferson: AJ will start defending in the first year rather than the last year of his contract. Regardless.

Well...humm...

What can I say?

There are certain kinds of people and certain kinds of teams who, despite the odds, despite the expert predictions, despite expectations, find a way to win. These people, these teams, we call winners. And, as we all know, WINNERS WIN!

Go JAZZ!

The team that refuses to lose!

I love how 2 games ago, people were predicting a 20+ loss to the Heat, and 0-4 road trip. Now, it's a 30 points win against the Hawks.

Jazzfanz is such a wonderful example of the human irrationality. :)

Agreed. For the record I thought it would be a small miracle for the Jazz to go 2-2 on this road trip. Now I won't even mention the great possibility that happens tomorrow.

The crazy thing is we're really not playing that well. The offense breaks down after 15 seconds, guys aren't ready for passes, and there's a hiccup when the ball goes down low. Defensively, rotations are poor right now. I see all kinds of half commits on doubles, and then guys who double not knowing when to break out and defend.

But for some inexplicable reason we just lock in. Yeah, I'm loving the heart. But I mostly can't figure out why we start games like a YMCA team. We'll figure that out.

This team has more potential than any team we've put on the floor since the 90's. But it won't take if we don't figure out the early season margin of error will be gone soon.
