What's new

Jazz @ Hawks | Friday November 12th @ 5pm

Why aren't the AK homers out in full force, blamin Sloan because AK didn't play better 2-3 years ago? I guess when your boy is playin well, his play speaks for itself, and there is no need to try to distort things to try to make it appear that he is playin better than he is, or to put the blame for his failures on others.

...well, hop, the way I got it figured it all goes back to the minus Boozer factor! Without Boozer in the line up, everyone had to step up.....more ball movement, more plays run for guys like Klinko and a whole lot less turnovers! Boozer was the straw that was breaking everybody's back! No Boozer, no more broken backs!

did you guys see earl's block on jamal crawford.... I thought earl overall did a nice job, bought some minutes from sloan in the future.

That reminds me Gordon Chiesa still kicks some butt, he mentioned during the post game that Jamal and Earl practiced against each other in Seattle so he wasn't surprised by it at all.

AK47 for the first time since 03, has got me excited about his play. His clutch 3's, clutch steals, big rebounds, and has ultimately been the glue of our lineup. When he plays well, usually, this team wins. I just hope he can stay healthy and engaged.

I hope that we can work Evans, Fess, and Hayward into our lineup a little more. Give our starters a little bit more rest while developing our bench. We'll for sure need those guys if we are to make a deep playoff run.

Could it be because it's a contract year for AK?

Depends on who you ask or which theory you subscribe to.

AK detractors will tell you it is or that he still just sucks
Sloan detractors will tell you it's because he's finally getting involved
Boozer detractors will say it's because it's cause he's finally gone and freeing up time, touches and chemistry issues.

As a Jazz fan I say I'm enjoying watching it and hope he can be had for Milsap money (minus the huge bonus Porty added) at the end of the year.

Strange to think how we went from having an anemic backup PG spot, and then Watson comes in and does something like this, and the past few games Price has been really good. I'd hate to make a decision if I were Sloan at this point. Both guys are playing exceptionally well. And I'm at least grateful we don't have to see somebody like Fart and wonder why the hell he's ever on the floor.

Great win, and Big Al did an excellent job. However, I hope to see Millsap getting more touches in tonight's game. He's our most efficient offensive player (the only one that's been consistent all year) and needs to be taking at least 15 shots per game.

Yep. If the Jazz can get the 2 spot figured out (unlikely), the Jazz will have sufficient depth once Memo gets back.

I'm happy for AK as well but it's got to be some sort of coincidence that he has awesome years only on contract years...

It's not as if CJ's or Raja's defensive presence has been irrelevant though. I'd say, so far, both of them have done pretty well for themselves. It's nice to see 2 guards that will play some defense when they're asked, and we have plenty of other options on the offensive end.

oh god. please, please let's not have this discussion. kirilenko wanted to void his contract in the summer of 2007, leaving dozens of millions of dollars on the table. he's not in this thing for the money.
