Agree to disagree. The scoring that i saw from them came on drives. Which I can live with when a team is shooting like 70% from 3. Jazz were more than matching them on the other end. It was awesome. Everyone in the break room was going ape **** during that run (im betting you were as well).
Because when they’re in, the perimeter guys funnel to the big. When the big rotates, nobody covers their guy. In the Dallas series and many other matchups, it leads to corner threes. In other matchups it leads to lobs. If a team doesn’t have a corner three threat or lob threat, then it just leads to offensive rebounds and putbacks. It becomes much more accentuated down the stretch and in the playoffs. It’s just a shame that Quin prefers to believe the first 40 minutes of regular season games is the representative sample. I mean, in a way, it is - if we want to be champions of the first 40 minutes of 82 games, which we have been for the last two years. That’s just not the game we’re playing now and Quin may take a few more years to realize that.
Well i mean you said they torched our small ball in the 4th. But they didn't. We barely used it and when we did it was with the wrong personel and they barely out scored us.
BTW you have yet to present the data that we are currently discussing (last nights game) You only said they torched the small ball lineup and they got lots of open threes against the small ball lineup. That isn't data from last nights game which is really all that matters in this discussion. The rest of your data is irrelevant. We are saying they should have played small ball against the mavs in the last regular season game against them or in any other game other than last night.
Because our perimeter defenders are traffic cones.
Well I mean we probably wont ever see it again. And for the record Im not saying it will work in other games. Im saying it worked last night. If something is working then it might be a good idea to continue with it while its working. Especially if the alternative isn't working.
