Jazz interest in Kamen

Wouldn't read too much into it. I would be extremely surprised if we acquired him.

I would assume Okur would be swapped for him, and not Jefferson actually. Clippers would probably want Okur's expiring contract and his style would compliment Jordan and Griffin well.

Kaman is in the final year of his contract, plays solid low-post defense (although he isn't a great defender) - other than that I haven no clue what he could provide that Utah doesn't already have. To me he's a stay-away.

I would have wanted that Kaman for Okur trade 4 years ago when we had Boozer, but your right, right now it doesn't make sense.

I guess if the price is right..... Maybe a S&T of AK. Making Millsap or Jefferson even more expendable. Maybe Bell and AK..

SA & Dallas would make much more sense. Or Houston -- they could send Dragic & Scola -- don't know if that would make them players for Nene again.

Looks like he may be part of a trade involving Chris Paul to the Clippers. Paul said his 3rd choice would be the Clippers if NYC and LAL can't sign him. I'm guessing it will be something like Gordon, Kama, Aminu, and Minnesota 1st.

Always liked Kaman's game. Nothing flashy, but a solid all-round player; moves well w/o the ball, has a jump shot, post moves, rebounds, decent passer, physical defender in the paint. At 29, he's younger than Okur.
Yeah, if they're in the Chris Paul sweepstakes, they'll be in a holding pattern...

At least spell his name right. Makes you look like, well, an idiot when you don't.

It's Chris Kaman.

I think they're just bored and making a few calls. It's a dull FA season for the Jazz.

Although...it's not a terrible thing to pick up a player who has value and sign him to a reasonable contract. It creates an additional asset on the team to trade or negotiate with. Kaman could be an ideal back-up C. Kaman plus one of the Jazz's picks could help the Jazz move up in a future draft, for example.
