Jazz looking for a backup center....

Other than those mentioned, some backup centers who shoot threes: Meyers Leonard, Channing Frye, Jared Sullinger (badly), Frank Kaminsky.

They could be looking at someone with good mechanics who they can turn into a three-point shooter, like they did with Booker, but I have no idea who fits that description. Or maybe hitting the three isn't a requirement, maybe they just need someone who can consistently hit foul-line jumpers?

EDIT: ninja'ed on ML.

Man, Meyers Leonard - what a bizarre shooting trajectory. Plays two years at Illinois, 7'1", strong, athlete prospect - problem? can't shoot. He shot 12 threes in two years there making 1.

Rookie year shoots 7 threes all year. 2nd year goes 0-6 all year. So, 4 years of basketball 185 games, dude is 4-25 from 3pt range.

Third year in the NBA, shoots 112 threes, making 42%! last year takes 228 threes making 38%. unreal. i imagine there is nothing like it in NBA history.

I still believe a more natural 5 is the way to go. Most shooting bigs struggle on the glass and on defense. That's not a very good fit off the bench next to Trey Lyles who also struggles in those departments.

There is a rumor the warriors are shopping bogut. Not sire what they are looking for. He is injured a lot, you would be taking a huge salary off their hands

Isn't this just an idea from David Locke?

I'm not sure the Jazz really need to go out of their way to acquire this.
